Grabat Graphenano Energy produces graphene polymer cells which adapt to different types of batteries depending on their use and application.

 

This new technology sets a radical change in global energy storage systems since it allows to make batteries with higher energy density, shortest charge time, lighter and safer. The tests carried out show that the Grabat cells obtained specific capacity values three times higher than those obtained with current technologies.

Inside a Grabat cell

A Li-ion cell is a type of rechargeable cell in which lithium ions move from the negative electrode to the positive electrode during discharge and back when charging. Li-ion cells use an intercalated lithium compound.

Grabat graphene polymer cell is based in the use of conversion compounds, incorporating graphene of Graphenano in its components.

Grabat are developing a graphene polymer cell whit a theoretical energy density three times greater than Li-ion conventional cells. Grabat technology is lighter, safer, maintenance free and ready to supply the energy demand of the future.

Battery energy density is the relationship between the amount of energy which is able to accumulate and its weight (Wh/kg).

 

One of the main issues of the electric vehicle industry is the low energy density of lithium-ion technology, which is rarely able to provide high ranges. Grabat Graphene polymer batteries could break with this inconvenience providing greater ranges, making possible to perform long distance travels without stops.

 

The Grabat cells pack allows a high mass reduction, including an increase of capacity and energy density of the system, compared with actual Li-ion technology.

 

R&D Department is working to obtain higher gravimetric energy density values carrying out actions in different components of the cells, allowing to increase these values in a short period of time.

Another important handicap in current lithium-ion batteries is the high charging time, that is related to the impossibility to travel efficient in time. Grabat Energy solves this problem reducing significantly the charging time.

 

Furthermore, thanks to our technology, the dreaded memory effect is eliminated, which causes a degradation in the performance of the batteries after several charges, increasing the cycle life to a large extent.

The possibility of a weight reduction gives our product a great adaptability to the target vehicle, maintaining the benefits desired.

 

Thanks to the properties of graphene, Grabat cells dissipate heat to a larger extent. It guarantees greater security in all application sectors.
